Ok…when four former Governor’s representing both major political parties join forces to object to a nominee to the Pinelands Commission one must pay attention.

Each of these Governors, whom I have had the privilege of meeting or working with, were politically savvy, intelligent and aggressive politicians. Yet each had the respect of process to keep politics at bay when the greater good was to be protected.

The current actions attempt to circumvent the very nature of the Pinelands Commission. They politicize what should not be politicized..More importantly, this action sets a precedent that is dangerous to future generations by undermining the very nature of the appointment process.

I am most curious as to how Senator Kean will react to the advice of his Father, Governor Thomas H. Kean.
