Wayne DeFeo recently presented in front of the Clifton City Council in their efforts to manage municipal waste and recycling cost. Mr. DeFeo discussed the benefits and potential cost savings of converting to a cart based system. The cart based system helps to reduce labor costs and can decrease rodent issues by up to 75% that open cans tend to attract.

Mr. Defeo also discussed the bid process and legal timelines associated with it. He also broke down the upfront costs and potential long term savings of converting to cart based pickup along with the different bid structures that are possible.
