Imagine combining farming with clean energy…Well, we don’t have to imagine really….It is already being done and its called agrivoltaics. Allowing sheep to graze the grasses and plants under the panels services the fields…keeps the plants at the correct height, pays the sheep herder, allows for renewable wool and fertilizes the ground in a natural way.

Why are we not doing more of this? Partly, it is a lack of understanding about the advantages of this dual use. Part is confusion. Part is simply not wanting to have combined activities…at least here in New Jersey.

Let’s see this change.
