It Appears that Wealth = Pollution

In OXFAM’s latest report, it seems that the wealthiest 1% of the population not only reap the greatest financial gains, but that those with wealth are the largest contributors to Climate Change. Between being the least effected by the pandemic, and the generation of climate changing gases as jet setters play around the globe, the richest do well and the poorest suffer the most.

That is true with regard to the effects of climate change as well. It is the poorest of the world’s inhabitants that can’t move away from danger and are often in harms way with regard to severe weather.

No matter how much wealth someone has, there is a common responsibility to minimize climate impact.
