The USEPA has sounded the call to achieve a minimum 50% recycling rate by 2030 with it’s new recycling strategy. That may not sound like much, but it is a big step forward from our rather anemic 25% rate today. A key plus is that the new infrastructure bill actually contains funding to provide $350 million in grants.

Recycling is complicated by the patchwork of methods that are used in this country…but at least this is a step in the right direction.

Of course, many will decry the lack of specificity, but a start is a start.
