And Yet Again, Keurig Proves Itself A Poor Recycler

Resource Recycling reported that the respected How2Recycle label is downgrading Kerurig’s pods based on the fact that they are basically not being recycled in most instances. Now I applaud Keurig for trying new ideas, and I certainly understand that they cannot just stop production…well, they could, but that would really hurt economically….but they are simply not telling the truth about recycling their pods.

While not in the article, it is certainly logical to conclude that heating plastic is not healthy as higher temperatures yields more leaching of chemicals.

I am open to new ideas….but I do have a question….Why would anyone want to drink coffee brewed in a plastic pod that has been ground and sitting for who knows how long?

At lease use a refillable, reusable filter…preferably stainless steel…
