This may come as a shock to some of you, but the President has lied yet again by stating that his proposed rollbacks of fuel economy standards would make cars cheaper and “substantially safer.” As reported in the Washington Post, the administrations’s own officials disagree with his statements. Rather than the claim that 12,000 fatalities would be avoided with his new fuel standards rule, the administration’s own findings state it is likely less than 500 fatalities.

Although the rule might reduce car costs by $1000, it would add more than $1400 in lifetime fuel costs.

The fact that this administration continuously moves to damage the average person and the environment is frightening.
