Diesel Trucks Being Removed from New Jersey Roads

Hey, it’s a start. The New Jersey EDA is setting up a program to issue vouchers for business and institutions in the Newark and Camden areas to allow these organizations to replace medium and heavy duty trucks with electric vehicles. The goal of this first phase is to replace up to 300 diesel trucks…with a pool of about $16 million in vouchers…

This program, modeled on other successful programs attacks two problems at once. First, dirty air. Second, it addresses the dirty air that hurts those in environmentally challenged communities.
